Teach Your Children Well
Children’s bible lessons are the perfect example of how God’s word applies to our life. Jesus often taught using objects and parables to teach the valuable lessons He wanted to share. Jesus became weak to the weak, so He could draw all people nearer to Him. Lessons from the bible come alive when you demonstrate to kids through the use of objects and pictures. Teach children lessons from the bible using drawings and song as well as plays, puppets and other hands on activities. Bible lessons for children are the perfect way to engage children in their lessons as well embed the valuable teachings of Christ on their hearts.

Bible Lessons for Kids: Labels
Materials: 
• Can of corn (or other product)
• Piece f paper cut to the same label size on can
• Marking pen
• Tape
• Banana with sticker (like Chiquita)
• Apple
Main Point:
Neither the clothes we wear, the homes that we live in, the toys we can afford, even the grades we get in school can indicate our value as a person. It’s what’s inside that counts.
How to Conduct Lesson: Labels
Part One
“Here is a can of corn! I don’t like corn, I would rather have carrots! I’m just going to put this label on here and write on it, “Carrots.” Now I have a can of carrots right?” Let the kids tell you why that’s not true.
Part Two
“Same thing with this banana; I don’t want a skinny banana, I want a round fat banana! I’m just going to take this sticker off this banana and put it on this apple instead, that’s a better shape for a banana. *Take a bite of the apple* Hey why doesn’t this taste like a banana? Let the kids respond.
Conclude the lesson by saying something like this,
Wouldn’t you agree that’s it’s what’s inside that counts? We people have many different labels. Some of you are boys and some of you are girls, but either way, you are a person whom God loves. Some kids can wear fancy clothes and the latest fashions while other kids can’t afford those things; but you know what? God doesn’t care about those things. Some kids are tall while other kids are short but God doesn’t care. You see it’s what’s inside that counts!
