Buffy the Vampire Slayer Novels
Did you know that there’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer tie-in novels that fill in some of the gaps in the seasons with what what might have been? There are. Some of these novels are good and very enjoyable, some of them are okay, some of them are real stinkers.
If you’re a real The Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan you’ll read every one of them.
If you are a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan like me you will have seen all of the Buffy shows and the movie multiple times. And of course the same is true with the series Angel – binge watching there too.
What is it about this story of a Teenage vampire Slayer and her and her group of friends that is so fascinating to me? Or our fascination with a tortured, broody vampire with a soul. I don’t know, watching true love true love. Is always fun and especially if there’s werewolves vampires and all kinds of other creepy-crawlies. There’s been several there have been midi Vampire series in the last few years but none of them had the intelligence, pathos and humor as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
There just weren’t enough of the episodes made to satisfy a true fan.
The Buffy the Vampire slayer comic followed Buffy, Willow the witch,Spike and Angel the Vampires with a soul, the rest of the gang after the series ended.
The novels created more stories during the actual seasons of the series. Many of them were around the time of season 3 when Willow was just began becoming a a serious witch, when she was with still dating Oz does sometime werewolf and when she and when Buffy was truly developing her Slayer abilities.
Buffy and Angel is not Just a Teeny Bopper Show
If you love Buffy and Angel like I do , you will love the romance and the action. But the series goes far beyond that – into spiritual truths and quests and into some deep questions of being a person if you decide to live as a hero in your own life.
Using Buddhist , Biblical and other texts as a basis – the author beautifully makes us wonder as we deal with big questions – “What would Buffy do?”

I love watch this dad read to his daughter.
Go Ask Malice
Slayer Faith’s Tale
Buffy was not the only Slayer in the series. There was Kendra.
And then there was Faith. ” I can think of nothing more dangerous than a rogue Slayer,” Giles says when she goes back.
This book, which is one of the best written of the series , gives us background to why she might just be so dangerous..
Go Ask Malice: A Slayer’s Diary (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Coyote Moon
Heads up this is not the best of the novels. But to the true fans it is fun!
The Evil Witch Willow
Willow is one of my favorite one or two characters in this series. Mousy and unpopular in the first series, she grows into a powerful witch, which becomes terrifying when her soulmate is accidently killed in an act of random violence.
This series stretches the story out – and helps us wonder: ” What lengths would Willow go to bring back her beloved Tara?
Wicked Willow I: The Darkening (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Wicked Willow II: Shattered Twilight (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Wicked Willow III: Broken Sunrise (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Coyote Moon – part two
Another Fascinating Series: The Lost slayer
This was one of the most fun series for me. What would happen if Giles became a vampire? Could Buffy beat a foe who knew all her ways?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer The Lost Slayer Part 1 (2001, Paperback) – 1st Printing
Dark Times (Buffy the Vampire Slayer Book 2
King of the Dead: Lost Slayer Serial Novel part 3 (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Original Sins: Lost Slayer Serial Novel part 4 (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Buffy and Angel remain Popular Because of the depth of the story matter and the excellent acting
Buffy and Angel were not teeny-bopper shows. They have lasted this long with a rabid fan base because they talk about true hero’s journeys.
For a Change of Pace check out the Choose your own Destiny adventures
These are really fun. Like combining a book and a game. Would the Slayer be dead in the first chapter if it was up to you?
Night Terrors (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Keep Me in Mind (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) by Nancy Holder (2005-04-26)
The Suicide King (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Colony (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
The Novels add Real Fun and Depth to the BuffyVerse in your Life
These series take it way beyond Halloween!
